    Crown reinforcement
Is it necessary when you get a crown that your original tooth from the root canal gets filed down to a point and very thin with no other reinforcement

When a crown is done the tooth is always trimmed down to allow room for the metal and/or porcelain. Once the crown is placed the tooth has more strength.
