    How to rewire a chandlier
    I am trying to rewire a chandlier, what wires go where?

    Smooth side goes to black, or the gold screw on a socket.
    Ribbed side goes to white, or the silver screw on a socket.

    Is that what you mean? It is hard to tell from the original post. :confused:

    Uhh... the wires that carry electric current go to the electrical connection points.

    Really, we need a lot more information.
