    Haven't seen husband in going on 4 years
    I would like to place an ad in the newspaper to get a divorce. I haven't seen him in going on 4 years this July. I have been hiding from him all this time. He was very abusive. We had a daughter together but we both lost our rights and she is adopted now. We have no property or anything. I just need to know how long I need to run this ad and anything else I need to know about the process. If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it. Thank you for your time.

    Does not work like that, you have to file in divorce court, and if you know where he is, he has to be notified, if you don't know , the court will have rules on trying to find him.

    The notification in the news paper is ony if you can't find him after searching for him.

    If you know where he is, he will have t be served and have a chance to challenge the terms of the divorce
