I have ADHD and I take adderal. Recently I have run out of it, and the refill cost $400! We don´t have insurance at the moment, so we can´t pay for it right now. I´ve had many many days with out my adderal, and it is miserable! I´m extremely drowsy, can´t sit or stand up straight for long, I can get very uncontrollably hyper. I don´t do very well at school without my medications, because of the hyperness, and the drowsiness, and the drowsiness is terrible, I can get a very good night of sleep and I´ll still be very drowsy with out my stupid adderal! It´s not fair! $400 for 60 pills? I´m doing very well in School, I havn´t gotten in trouble in two years, I´m getting a B+ or higher in everyone one of my classes, so if I miss a day I should be fine, but I can´t help but worry. I should go to school, but with out my adderal I won´t last very long, I´ll be unable to pay attention, I´ll have moments of extreme hyper activity (very bad), I´ll feel like I´m still dreaming for the most part, and I could get sick. One time earlier this year I ran out of my Sertaline (Zoloft) and hadn´t been able to take it for about three days, my doctor gave some other thing, like an anti anti withdrawal drug to take, I took it one day and I was OK, but the third day I went to class. I was fine for a while, until I became very dizzy, and my stomach began to feel weird, I kept getting up and feel back into my chair, I than told the teacher I wasn´t feeling well, and he told me I was very pale, so he walked me to the office, but near the stairs I passed out, and next thing I know I´m in the office, and I´m very very hot and sweaty, I couldn´t move very much, I then throw up and felt very weak and sick. Turns out this was due to me not having my medicine. I think I should maybe stay home, but I don´t really want to miss school, even though I probably would´nt last. Please Help! What´s the best course of action?

What does your parents say about this? You can't just keep staying home from school due to no medicine. Please talk with them before staying home. How soon do you think you'll be able to get your rx refilled?
