    Being a good girlfriend
    Here is my problem, I don't know how to be a girlfriend to a good guy. Up till now I have been with guys that treat me not good. They either tell me what to do, where to go, what to wear. They got mad when I had male friends and went out. I also have dated some guys who are very passive aggressive. But pretty much with both types of guys I end up waiting on them hand and foot, changing what I want to do so they don't get mad and catering to their every need to stop a fight from happening. But now I am starting a new relationship with a really good guy. But I don't know how to be his girlfriend. It makes him uncomfortabe for me to cater to him and he wants me to make decisions in what we do too. But I don't know how to do anything else but let the guy run the whole thing. So how do I change from being the lesser in a relationship to being the equal?

    I have to think it revolves around self confidence. Your confidence was apparently lowered by the dismal relationships you previously had, and to fix that usually requires some time on your own, working on YOUR issues. The current relationship you are in will only suffer from this... my advice would be to relax, first and foremost, and just enjoy, without feeling like being in a relationship is a "job" of some sort.

    Usually they say to try to build your confidence before getting in a relationship. I guess you should just "act natural" if you can. Sorry, that's not much help. But, I feel like you should do what you want and say what you want (since I guess in a bad relationship you do everything and say everything the guy wants) within limits.
