Old washer won't drain new one won't either
Our family rents a home ,in te home there is/was a kenmore washer, it would wash it agitates,on rinse also but will not go into drain cycle so then it can spin. We gave up on trying to have it fixed,so we bought the same washer make and model used, brought it home it does the same thing. We have tried brainstorming about all the things that could be wrong my husband thought maybe it was an outlet problem that the washer might not be receiving enuff power to kick it into drain cycle, and the only other thing is our washtub faucet ,it is pouring out water and washer water lines are hooked to this also I just want to know if it could maybe be due to that or is the pump no good or what, but on both washers? Its just to strange to me, any answers woul be great.

Forget the electrical power. If it's agitating, there is plenty of power. Sounds more like the drain line is clogged. If the water level never drops below a certain point, the washer may refuse to spin as a self-protect feature.
