I am clutching at straws really but my mum is desperately trying to find out who her father is. Her mother will not say as I believe she was born out of wedlock which would have been scandulous in 1945 when she was born.

Her mother is now 95 and frail but we are still determined to find out who my mothers father is. Mum has never had a birth certificate but I managed to trace one only to find out the fathers details are blank.

Is there any way of finding him? Maybe he has used a web site to try and find her? He may not still be alive. We think he already had 2 children so mum probably has some half siblings somewhere.

Any ideas anyone?

Without his name this is very, very difficult. There are various sites where people looking to locate someone post, hoping the other person will see the post and respond, but they are not all reputable.
