Well, :o I'm basically full of lots of questions so any assistance in answering this as professionally as possible would be appreciated.

I am,29, 5'9" and I'm prescribed 10mg pills of Provera/Medroxyprogesteron to help bring my period. I'm suppose to take it for 10 days and my period should follow. And it works well, I usually get my period at most 7days after the last pill. My doctor recommended provera until my husband and I were sure we wanted to conceive but I left windows open on the role that provera takes if you're trying to conceive and are irregular on your menses. So here are my questions: (provera, not depo-provera)

Predicting ovulation is not easy, however if I'm taking provera am I ovulating?

Are there any birth defects involved with taking this prescription?

Doctor said when we're ready she can prescribe clomid, but for now is provera a possibility to conceive with?

Any recommendations? :confused:

Yes, you can conceive while taking this medication, my ob prescribed it to me also, he told me that I needed to be aware that the chances of conceiving while taking this medication were high, so yes it is possible, because the medicine is making the lining of your uterus thicker which regulates your period, and at the same time makes your uterus more acceptable for implanting an egg.

Hello I am 17 yrs of age and I was prescribed medroxyprogesterone 10 mg!I hadn't gotten my period for a whole year. I been reading and all these ladies been saying they take it up to 10 days I have to take it up to 12 days according to the doctor? Is that right? And I also wanted to know while taking these pills and being sexually active do I have any risk of getting pregnant?
