    Aliena,
That depends on what you mean by romancing.
Generally speaking sending the girl you like some flowers or candy is an innocent romancing jesture.
Even taking her to the movies or a dance is OK as long as you keep it innocent.
People being attracted to each other is not a sin. It is a consequence of being a human being.
Falling in love is not a sin. Love is a gift from God who is love and to love is part of the image of God in which He created us.
Going to far while romancing is where people get in trouble.
In the old days it was a custom to have a chaperone accompany a couple so that they would not go to far and fall into sin.
Now days, as you know, people trust way too much for so many are untrustworthy and modern TV and movies even encourage couples to go way to far.
    That's a shame.
    Peace and kindness,
    Fred

    Fred gave a good answer.
Hugging and kissing are FOREPLAY and if you start you may find out that you cannot stop without going "all the way".
So, be safe, shake hands and give thanks for a nice date.
Your name suggests that you are a girl. If a boy will not respect you, he won't love you. He may SAY he does, but it is nearly the oldest lie in the world. I know. I was a boy a long time ago.

I would agree to a point. I don't think that there is anything wrong with a hug and kiss. But if I understand you correctly, I think that you are speaking of necking or petting (am I dating myself?), which indeed can cause things to become overheated. But a hug and kiss at the end of an evening if the boy and girl like each other well enough is not a problem (and I do have a daughter! ).

You point about respect is important. The girl needs to make that limit clear, and if the boy does truly like the girl, he will respect the limit. If he does not, then it might be best to wait for another boy who does respect her.

I agree that a hug and a kiss should be as far as a single couple should go.
But necking (making out) is out beyond the limits.

    Define necking/making out.

    Anything beyond kissing someone?

Necking and making out usually refers to going beyond (usually well beyond) a single kiss and hug to express affection, but without having sex.

Tj3 has answered you question well.
The big problem with necking (making out) is that it is very much a stimulus for lust.
