    I want to Visit US, I'm from Italy
    Hello, I'm a permanent resident in Italy , but not yet an Citizen, do I need a Visa to just visit US ? Do I need someone to send me an invitation ? How do I get to Visit US ?

    Yes, unless you are a citizen of a visa waiver country (check the DOS website), you need a visitor visa to visit the US. Generally, you will be applying for the B visa. There is a form DS-156 to fill out (online), and there may be others depending on what country you are from, etc. you need to show you are only going for a visit and you will be returning to your home country. To do this you need to show significant ties to your home country; employment, house, family, etc. and you need to show you have enough funds to pay for your visit and expenses during the visit. An invite letter is useful, but not absolutely necessary. If you are going for something specific, have evidence of that.
