    Sui/sdi taxes
I am 77 year old and work part time earning around 6,000 a year.

I am collecting social security also.

The above taxes are taken out of my pay every week.

If I am disabled and cannot work or if I am laid off will I collect on the above.

If not, why are they taken out.

You probably ARE eligible for the Unemployment Insurance.

Disability insurance is another matter, entirely. I would call the state agency that administers this program and ASK!
