    Getting lap top hooked up to internet
    I have internet on my home computer,I want to hook up wireless to my laptop.every thing I do or try doesn't work can somebody please help me thanks

    Do you have a wireless router and a wireless card in the laptop?

    If so does the laptop recognize the wireless card?

    Let's start there...

    You didn't answer everything you were asked.

    Do you have a wireless router? That's the key issue. Most new laptops do have built in WiFi. But if you don't have a wireless router there is nothing to connect to.

    It might also help is you tell us what you have tried so far.
