    Continuing 401K
I'm (hopefully) a few months away from retirement. Should I still continue to contribute to my 401K given the state of things presently. My company still matches but I obviously don't have the years left to recover losses.

If the company matches then you should devinitely continue to contribute, as the match is free money. As you near retitrement you should consider modifying your investment strategy to be more conservative than if you are 30-something; investments like bonds and cash equivalents are less risky than stocks, but keep in mind you are also limiting your potential up-side.

The continuing dog/cat saga [ 3 Answers ]

Ok... the cats are beginning to get bolder and come out of their closet. And I finally had the face to face meeting... and it turns out that Trinkett (the greyhound) is terrified of cats. One hiss from Rana (not even a paw swipe!), and now Trinkett won't come in the same room as the cats. She'll...
