Thoughts on this? Going so well, but moving slowly.
I am completely and totally smitten with this guy I met off Match.com. He is a gem! He started talking to me mid-December, we ended up talking online every day(often for hours) early on. It moved slowly. We didn't even speak on the phone until 3 weeks in and met in person about a month after meeting online. Our dates have all gone incredibly well, I've seen him 6 times in just over two and a half weeks. Every date has been pretty long, any where from 3-6 hours. We just seem to have the ability to talk about nothing at all(for hours!). We continue to talk daily online and text a ton! Any way, I was growing a tad concerned after date 5 when he'd still not even kissed me, despite being alone with me a lot!

So last night, he came over and was here from about 6pm-1am. We got movies to rent, got coffee and watched them over at my house, this being the first time he's come here. He had a blast playing with my pets, we spent both movies all cuddled up on the sofa, we had pillow fights, *don't laugh*--but we were biting each other. I am so a biter(playfully) and he is too. This is funny because I believe I've driven every single last person I've dated crazy with the biting. Any way...

After both movies were over, we watched videos on YouTube, again, all intertwined--he remained a perfect gentleman, not so much as a stray touch anywhere. Finally, after being all snuggled up in close quarters for hours, we ended up kissing--but it wasn't what I expected. It was a short, closed mouth kiss out of nowhere. He seemed embarrassed afterwards. But I got a few more of those short kisses out of him before he left at nearly 1am(with him having to wake up at 5am for work). :)

I have never in my life met someone like this! I am so smitten! I'm halfway wondering about the kiss though--it almost seems like he doesn't have much kissing experience? Which makes no sense because he's almost 27 years old and gorgeous! This pace seems really slow to me, but I'm enjoying getting to know him so I don't really care too much. It does make me wonder though. Thoughts?

Come on! The fun of dating is figuring out all of the stuff you want to know.

Just like dare said, enjoy the experience and there is absolutely no need to rush things - especially seeing as you think he may not have much experience.. Maybe he just really likes you and feels nervous? After all, he is chilling at your house, renting movies, playing with your pets, kissing you now, 5 dates in 2ish weeks..

Id say the guys has shown a lot of interest in you, the slowness in development may be down to his character and being shy - being gorgeous and 27 doesn't necessarily mean he has had loads of girls - could have been just one or maybe he hasn't meant anyone like YOU

Just take it chilled, no need to speed things up, you are really enjoying yourself and so is he, so why jeopardise any of it? Be patient, see how it goes..

Why do people always want to rush the dating stage? This is when you get to know people better and build a solid foundation for a relationship.

Enjoy getting to know each other, and don't sabotage it by pushing to fast, and getting carried away by your intense feelings.

Too much, to fast, crash, and burn. Trust me that's no fun! Keep it at the pace it is.

What's the hurry when your having a good time??
