    Installing a shower in place of the tub
    I am going to install a new shower in my bathroom. How far from the floor should the shower fixtures to be installed at?

    Still having trouble understanding your question. Are you asking how jigh off the floor do you install the shower valve? If so, there is no code or rule regarding this, I usually install at 45" up off the floor. By the way, did you know Swanstone makes a shower pan that fits perefectly in place of an old tub? Its called a 3260 L or R retro. The L and R refer to which end gets the drain. As you can see by this ad there is a wide range in the price, $615 is the standard price from most plumbing shops.

    Hi all...

    Go with 40-45" off finish floor to the center of the shower valve and 78" off finish floor to the center of the shower arm.
