New vcr/dvd player without any cable hookups on the item
Good morning. I just bought a dvd/vcr player with no cable hookups located on the device. My handicap child has an old TV with cable wire hooked right into the back of his TV. Do I need to buy one of those converter boxes to make his vcr work or some kind of other device. I believe it is a digital item and came with one wire that has a re end and a white end. I am a single mom without much knowledge. Thank you in advance with any help you can offer

I guess I didn't understand your question. I'll defer to the expert, below.

You shouldn't need a converter box.

I thinks you totally missed the question.

We have to know a little about the VCR purchased. A link to a manual would be nice.

The item may have either composite video, component video or S-video outputs.

It likely has composite video outputs. A simple RF modulator (about $20) from Radio-Shack will likely work for you. Take the manual for the VCR to Radio-Shack for the extra help.
