    Dependent made $8000 last year
    My son made $8000 firefighting last year,but he lived with us more than 6 months
    Can I claim him as a Dependent on my taxes.

    No, as he made too much to be considered a dependent. He will have to file his own taxes this year. I am sure he will be getting a refund on whatever money he's paid into the IRS though.

    1. If he is under 19 or under 24 and full time student, then he can be your dependent if he did not provide more than half of his own support.

    2. If he is 19 or 24 and full time student, then he can not be your dependent.

    3. If he files as non dependent, then he does not have any taxable income.
