Hair black and I HATE it and want it lighter
This is a bit of a big story but I really need your help guys so bear with me : ) My natural hair colour is a light brown but for a long time ive always had my hair highlighted blonde. But my cousin dyed it blonde for me once and it went orange so i went to the hairdressers and got it dyed brown. The brown started to fade and was going lighter so i decided to dye it dark brown using nice and easy natural dark brown but it has went black and i absolutely HATE it!!! How can i get it back to brown again?
Please Help me a.s.a.p because it is my school prom soon.
    Thanks
    Emma

    Welcome to askmehelpdesk! :)

When your hair is porous, the colour grabs on to your hair too much. That's why when you applied the brown, it turned out black!

You can use a clarifying shampoo to help fade out some of the colour. Some folks on here have used head & shoulders to fade out haircolour , so you can use that. It won't fade on the first wash but the more you use it, the more you use it, the more it will fade.

Or you can use an artificial colour remover. Remember, this is not bleach! An artificial colour remover just removes dyes whilst bleach just strips out everything till your hair gets blonde/white.
You may need to use the artificial colour remover several times because black is difficult to lift out.

You can also try 1) Liquid Prell, 2) Dish Detergent, or 3) Liquid Tide (without bleach). Tide is actually the very best for fading color. It won't hurt your scalp or your hair (though I wouldn't use it all of the time).

    Here's a link for color remover: http://www.robertcraig.com/php/index...ation=colorfix

The instructions will help you get an idea of how it's used.

Don't wash your hair with any of that stuff, all that will do is make your hair dryer and dryer. If your hair has turned out black it would take weeks to lighten. The best and only thing I would advise is to call a professional hairdresser and have them fix it. It may be a bit more expensive than trying home remedies but they will get it sorted out no problem.

Wow! Don't use detergant, I did that once and it was HORRIBLE. I used the same one after I STRIPPED my black hair out, then when I went to die it brown it went right back, but it will fade with clearifying shampoo :)
