    How to test a theromcouple
    Is there a way to jump the thermocouple to see if that is the problem

    They can be tested with a millivolt meter and the appropriate adapter, but they can't be bypassed. If you suspect it, replacements are fairly cheap, and if it doesn't solve the problem, no loss.
