    1099 and health insurance
    If we have someone work for our company as an independent contractor can we pay their health insurance or do they have to be an employee with w-2

    A 1099 employee would not qualify for company health insurance benefits, since they are not an employee.

    If your company would allow a 1099 to participate ( and I don't know any that would) the employee would be responsible for paying the full amount.
