    Electric Baseboard heaters suddenly not working
    Hey all,
    For the last two years the two Marley electric baseboard heaters have worked flawlessly but yesterday my son complained that it was cold in his room. I checked to find that both heaters were stone cold. I checked the wiring and thermostat, and found that there is 120v at each terminal on the end of the heating rod, but I cannot get 240 anywhere. I don't know if there should be 240v anywhere, but they are 240v heaters. The thermostat shuts off the power to both legs of 120v, so I am pretty sure that is working fine. How do I determine if I need new heaters or if new parts will suffice, or what. HELP! Thanks in advance for any advice.

    The thermostat shuts off the power to both legs of 120v,

    Check across both legs you should have 240 volts if not check the electric panel and wiring to the thermostat.
