Violation of Probabtion
My boyfriend violated his probabtion for the second time. The first time he was somewhere he wasn't suppose to be a week after being giving probation. The second time he violated by being late to the PO's office. They got him in about a month ago. But everything else is good with his behavior meaning he does what he suppose to, passes all his drug tests but was just late that one time. He was originally charged with possession of drugs. What do you think his consequences might be?
Thanks Everyone

Hello ms:
For being late to an appointment, he should have to write "I will not be late" 100 times. ANY other punishment is waaaaaaay over the top.

Hello again, ms:
I didn't say that. PO's love to bust balls. I would say let's hope he has a REASONABLE PO, but if she's violating him for being LATE to an appointment, she's NOT reasonable.
Having dealt with these want to be cops before, I've learned to hope for the best, but expect the worst.

Ok so when I was with my Ex boyfriend he was on felony probation.
His probation got violated the first time because he forgot to fill out a form that was really important to fill out. He went to court and got community service.
Then 6 months later he completely forgot about his PO meeting and called his PO and rescheduled it. Nothing happened.
Then 1 month later he got a speeding ticket, and bam his PO violated him the second time.. they claimed that he was being reckless and mentioned he missed an appointment.
So, he goes to court and the judge was kind of annoyed that the PO's were wasting his time with such a small matter so they extended the court date. So then the next time he went my ex brought a letter from someone from the rehab center showing he was a really good asset to the group.. that letter is what saved him. Even though the judge thought the matter was silly, I think they still would had given him 1 month in jail.. if it weren't for the letter
Get your boyfriend to ask anyone that he's seeing in his groups to write a letter on how he's improving.
They don't take this stuff lightly, even if it's just being late.. they will look at his first violation and will think he's trying to screw the system

I would saying nothing, at this point, but remember the more times he breaks their rules, even a minor thing will send him back at some point.

Probation is just that... probation. You do something that you shouldn't be doing in the first place and you get caught. At that point you should really take a long hard look at were your life is leading and follow their rules to the T no matter how trivial they may seem. They are there for a reason. Whether you agree with them is not the point. Your boyfriend broke one of their rules and then broke another. If they lock him up then he really has no right to complain.
