That is worrysome when they won't eat.

The best thing you can do is not make a big fuss over it. Stick to meal times, and if meals aren't at least tackled a little bit, then no snacks. Two years old is old enough to learn that consequence.

My son wouldn't eat many things. He essentially whittled down what he liked to yogurt and eggs. I was worried about possible health problems because of it, and took him in for a checkup. The Doctor said that he's getting what he needs, and taking his liquids fine, and he will eventually eat more, and more variety of foods.

That happened. When he was able to sit in a booster seat at the table with the rest of us, his food was the same as everybody else's. What was for dinner was for dinner, that was it. No pleading, no negotiating.

You may want to reassure yourself and have him checked out. Keep a list of what he does eat.

He'll be fine. I think they all go through this. At least mine did.

    1. no snacks ( that are not healthy)
    2. after some point they will eat

If not be sure of course to have a medical checkup to be sure there is not some cause.

Often they child trains a parent, so they get all sorts of special foods if they don't eat the junky veggies for dinner

Toddlers will often go through phases with their eating. Adults often do as well... can you think of things you used to eat quite a bit that you haven't made in awhile... or do you find you tend to prepare the same meals quite frequently?

If you can find several things she will eat, go with that for now. Just be sure any choices are healthy choices.
