    Nyc form 1127
Good evening everyone, my question is not supported by any tax programs that I am aware of (taxcut, turbotax, etc). I live upstate and work for nyc. I am required to file form nyc 1127 (nyc non-resident working in New York city). It is a rather strange form but I was wondering if anyone knows of a tax program that helps me fill out this form. Any help or direction will help. Thanks

I have examined this form and have the dubious honor of preparing it for a NJ client who works for New York City.

I know of NO software program that supports this form and, given the limited number of people who have to submit it, I doubt any software support is forthcoming.

Good luck on completing the form.

I use www.taxact.com and they just prompted me (when filing the state return) and asked if I wanted them to prepare Form 1127 for me. I said YES and it did and did not charge any more. You have to print it and send in mail, but well worth it. I work for the IRS and this is the worst form I have ever needed to fill out.

I am happy that TaxAct offers the option to complete the form.

However, it is NOT that hard of a form to complete. It does require some basic grade-school arithmatic skills, but if I did not have such skills, I would NOT be preparing other person's tax returns for pay as a professional.
