    Price Pfister shower spout
My daughter had been using my shower and one day I came home and found the handle on the spout had come out and there was a piece of plastic with a small rubber gasket on it. It does not seem to be able to fit. I am not sure if I am missing a piece or something broke off.
This is the handle that divert the water from the spout to the shower head. I do not have the model number
    Thanks for any help
    John:)

    Hi John...

So the diverter is not working... correct? If this is the case then you will need to replace the tub spout with diverter (usually can't repair these... about $15.00 at home depot)). There are two kinds. One unscrews counterclockwise, the other type has an allen screw that requires an allen wrench to remove the screw/spout.

The allen screw type has a u shaped cutout near the wall (pic. On left) on the underbelly so you can slip an allen wrench inside and unscrew the allen screw.

If you have the screw on type (pic. On right), you will also need to purchase some TEFLON TAPE for the threads... ;)

Let me know if I misunderstood...

The pull handle came off. I don't think there is anything wrong with the spout. I am missing the piece that is on the other end of the pull handle. I am not sure where I would go to buy that piece since it is not there because my daughter probably lost it when it came off.:)

    Hi Keeplo...

You cannot purchase that part separately. You will need to purchase a complete unit even if the spout is OK... the pop up is not. As stated, only costs about $10.00 and takes about 10 minutes to swap out. That is why they don't sell parts for these things... so easy to replace... ;)

I would remove the spout, ride down to home depot or Lowe's and replace that thing and be done with it!

    Good luck...
