    Seeking custody of my daughter
My son and his girlfriend are breaking up and she took their baby to her mothers house and doesn't want to let my son see his baby. They have a 3 month old baby girl. He has been supporting them for the past year. He wants to get his baby but he doesn't know what his rights are and doesn't want to do anything unlawful. What can he do?

He has to go to whatever Court handles these matters in your State (it's Family Court in mine) and file for vistation and/or custody.

The Court will order DNA testing to prove paternity and then order support and visitation - although at 3 months old he will receive very limited visitation with the child.

He HAS to go to Court. He only has the rights which she gives him. The Court will establish his LEGAL rights.
