OPT --> H1B visa tax filing
Hi MukatA and other tax experts,

Sorry for asking a similar question but my situation is slightly different though I am as confused as other members.

I have got three W2 forms from my employer. I worked on OPT from Nov 07 - Oct 08. In March, I moved to Wisconsin from Arizona so (one page W2 with AZ state tax which is NIL, second page W2 with WI state tax). In Oct 08, my H1b visa kicked in so I have a third W2 with Medicare, SSN taxes withheld.

Please advice what forms should I be filing? Also, if I change my address in the next one month (before filing), will my old address in the form affect in any way?

Looking forward for your reply. Thanks

Unless you are married, you will file Form 1040NR with Form 3903 (to claim the mvoing expenses). You will combine the figures in Box #1 of all three W-2s on Line #7 of the Form 1040NR.

You will also need to file an Arizona and a Wisconsin tax return, filing as a part-year resident in each state, and paying taxes ONLY on income earned within those state borders.

If you use direct deposit for the refunds (federal and Wisconsin; you are going to PAY Arizona), the address makes no difference. The money will go directly to your checking account.
