Washer drain pipe keeps over flowing
    Hi,
I have an old Amana washer. My problem is when I do a large load the 2" washer drain pipe overflows during the spin cycle. I snaked the pipe but the problem reoccurs. I have read some other related questions, some talk about the pump pumping too much water at a fast rate or just try not to wash in regular cycle anymore. I don't seem to understand, I was always used to having a washer drain pipe drain in a large sink. My new house, the washers elbow pipe just goes into the 2" drain pipe. Should I increase the size of the drain pipe or is it time for me to replace the washer? Why is it that soap suds keep overflowing from the drain pipe? Should I seal the pipe? I appreciate your feedback.

What is the stand pipe height. That's the pipe the washer hose goes into measures form the elbow below that to the top.
From that elbow heading down the drain line how long is that to the 3" waste line and is the elbows on the line?
On the way to the waste line do you see a Tee and any 1 1/2" vent pipe coming off that 2"washer 2"drain line.
If the 2"washer is more than 5" feet from the big 3" soil/vent stack then the 2" line most likely is slow draining all along and slowly can clog up because its not vented. Is the a sink tied into that 2"line on the way to the main 3" drain line?
