    Pitbull bloodlines
I have a female pit and I am trying to find out what bloodline she is. I can send pics if needed. She is full grown and weighs 52 pounds. I also had a male that was abused and dropped off at my house. He is the father of 9 pups. The parents r both full blood pit but I am trying to find their bloodlines. Like I said, I have pics of both if needed. Thanks.

Pictures will do nothing at all. Your dogs have to registered AKC to find the bloodlines. I guess you don't have papers for either one. But no matter, if the was serviced but had papers, and the male doesn't, then the bloodlines will be obscure now. Both sire and dam have to be registered AKC to make any difference in selling the pups.

There are many different bloodline strains for pitt bulls, and word of mouth means nothing. You do need papers to trace a dogs origins, otherwise they may not even be full blooded. Who knows, mayybe there's a boxer or american bulldog a generation or two back. I certainly hope you aren't trying to breed these dogs! Breeding is okay if you are doing so to preserve breed quality and championship bloodlines, but breeding for profit is a poor idea with any breed let alone pitt bulls. You cannot guarantee the true intentions of anyone who buys your puppies, no matter how legit they may seem. Its not just generic thugs that participate in the bloodsport of dog fighting, and people who do are often good at lying to cover their asses. Your puppies may end up in the fighting ring, or in the pound where they may be put down on the spot. Many places refuse to adopt out pitt bulls due to their reputation.
