Lien against me
Hello my name is carl and I just need to know the statue of limitations on a loan lien I had bought a car through wells fargo when I was 19 and now I'm 32 and have my own business and they put a lien against me for 9,100.00 dollars can they do that?

A lien is an encumbrance on property to prevent sale until the lien is satisified. So you need to define what you mean by a lien against you. Second, if they were able to put a lien against some assets or property of yours, then they probably obtained a judgement. So the SOL may not apply as they may have obtained this judgement within the SOL. So you need to find out when the judgement was awarded. |
