It all depends upon how cold it is outside and the square footage of the home and the size of the furnace. It seems this winter with the very cold weather many furnaces are running all the time to keep up.

If it is not over heating your house , the fan relay may be bad causing the fan to run all of the time.On your thermostat is the fan switch set to auto or on? If it is set to on then turn it to auto so that the fan only runs when it needs to heat or cool.

If the furnace is running all the time but the temperature never goes up past the thermostat setting then it is just the blower running all the time. Low batterys will not cause the blower to run all the time but a defective fan control or relay in the furnace will.

Yes, it sounds like your fan relay is defective. I would have someone come out and rerplace it.

Either the furnace is to small,, or you are in need of doing some insulating

$5.00 Says the fan relay is bad, been there fixed it a million times. Never will I claim to be perfect cause I've been wrong before. But I'd rather spend a little for a fan relay first than spend a bunch of money on Insulating to find out that it was the relay. But that's just me!

If you're wrong, you're going to need someone to give that $5 to. I volunteer my services.

Are you sure its running 24/7. or is it kicking on and off, just on more than off? Need to know if just blower is running, or if gas is firing also. How old is your furnace. How cold is it outside, how many chucks would a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood(sorry about that, just felt like my questions were getting boring).. Any way, please give us some more info, and we will do our best to help. Model and serial of furnace would help also.
