    Everything costs... you know that!

    Start with the extremes here...

    www.premierbath.com

This is great system that is very expensive but is great in that it allows a certain level of privacy/dignity for your family member. Almost priceless for some as they can control almost every detail of their bathing experience.

Next is a barrier-free shower system. Chek out www.swanstone.com

This is also expensive but includes increased independence for family member as well as ability to use a wheel chair without having to ride over a 6 inch barrier if needed in the future.

My favorite, which is difficult to do is to make the whole bathroom or say a 1/2 bath into a toilet/shower area. Here, you take a 1/2 bath minimum, and you install a floor drain, a waterproof membrane and you treat the whole 1/2 bath as a shower. Then you can allow person to go to bathroom, take shower, etc. as needed. I have done a few of these. People were quite happy with this. Here, we needed increased ventilation at 1/2 bath, we needed to remove all electric but GFCI protected light/fan and as mentioned we needed to install rubber membrane, floor drain, tile, threshold, tile at least 5 feet off the floor... etc... etc... etc...

If you want more info. Or are looking for other alternatives let us know. I am sure we can help.

Mark is on the right track, and I will add this too,There is a product that you are looking for, the brand name is Alson. What you are looking for is a spout that has an attachment on the side that you connect a shower hose to and it will hang on a hanger provided, see the Images, Good Luck.

Alson's set up, as posted by Afaroo, is economical approach to your situation. All set up will cost you no more then $60.00 in Home Depot and it works pretty good considering the price. You can install it all by yourself with basic tools.

    Good advice there, John !
