First meeting with my 11 year old daughter.
I am about to meet my daughter for the first time, she is 11, I am petrified and nervous. I really don't know what to say, I think that I should probably start with an apology for not being there for her.
I am also unsure of how to maintain the relationship once we have met. We live in the same city and there are no restrictions in access from what I can work out i.e.. All parties seem to be happy with the situation.

    2. don't keep trying to make up for the past, you can never be at her kindergarten music

You have a lot of getting to know each other, that's your focus. If she has questions, be honest in your answers, and don't force the dialog, or let guilt make you stupid.
