My mother guards me too well.
I'm currently in high school and because my mother's really desperate for me to get good grades she won't let me go anywhere or hang out with my friends <<partly because she doesn't like the people I hang out with>>- all she wants me to do is study. Whenever I bring up this problem she gets mad and throws a fit and basically blames everything on me and says I'm not good enough <<because I don't get nerdy grades>>. I understand when some parents become very desperate they may act this way, but she gives me no freedom at all and I get no breaks from studying- she even gets mad when guys <<guy friends>> call me... help?:confused:

Your mum is putting far too much pressure on you and needs to understand how it's effecting you. Is there a teacher you like who you could ask for support and advice? Your mum is more likely to listen to another adult and your teacher could possibly invite the both of you in to talk.

Yes, a teacher or a counselor can intervene for both of you. Your mom just wants you to be a better person in the future and you're luckier than other kids who don't have moms or have abandoned their children.
