    What routine test (medical) should a women of 54 years old be having?

    Hi... a good idea would be to have a... cervical smear test also a mamogramme, just to check that everything is OK regarding infection or cancer cells.

    Most women have these approximately every five years but it's very easy to forget if your not getting any problems in these areas.

    If you wished you could also have a general medical check over, which would include your heart rate, blood sugar, urine, thyroid gland, colesteral,lung capacity,vision, hearing, hormone blood check, almost everything... a bit like a car when it goes in for it's annual M.O.T

    A general chat with your Doctor about any concerns you may have is a very comforting thing and will put your mind at rest.
