Severe financial setbacks and have several credit card debts
I have suffered severe financial setbacks and have several credit card debts I cannot pay.I have one judgment that I just received a summons for and am trying to answer that. I have the form, and am not sure how to fill out the answer. Is there any point in filing an answer if I cannot pay the debt? Shall I not answer and get the judgment by default, and what will happen then? I have one checking account that I use only for disbursement of social security funds, can they take that money? I have no income other than that. I have a real estate contract on a house that I sold, and the loan is in my name, although the contract is legally recorded, and money is owed to me on that--I will not receive that money until a year from now. What will they do with that? This is in the state of Oregon.
