    2002 Ford Explorer Door Locks
Experiencing problems with the electric door locks.
Doors no longer lock or unlock with remote, keyless entry or interior switch.
You can hear the mechanism activate but there appears to be some restriction on full travel.
Changed battery in remote and reprogrammed but still no luck.
Could the cold cause this issue (currently 32deg F in NY)?

Try spraying keys on remote with WD-40. Also, spray and clean the automatic locking mechanism on each door with WD-40.

My 2002 ford explorer power door locks started acting up lately. The door ajar light stays on even though all the doors are close. But I notice that the problem is mostly with the liftgate. If I open it and slam it shut, that usually will allow me to lock the explorer. Any help is appreciated.
