What happens if you go to jail again before completing ordered comm. Service?
My husband got arrested for the first time in May 2008 in L.A. county. He served 4 days in jail and he was released and ordered to pay a fine and complete 15 days of a work program(community service with Cal Trans). He had until May 2009 to complete everything but unfortunately he got rearrested in San Diego in Nov. 2008 and will be in jail until June 2009.He never got around to doing the work program and he won't be out by the deadline.I've called the court and they said he needs to mail a cop out sheet to the L.A.court and a judge will determine if he can use the time he's doing as time served or get a fine or go back to jail. What do judges usually rule in this kind of situation? Obviously, I don't want him to get more time but what are the odds he will?
