Carrier WeatherMaker 8000 Ignitor not glowing
I read a post somewhere else where the ignitor did not glow. It was a result of a faulty cracked ignitor. However, I have the wonder advantage on having 2 weather Maker 8000 in my home.
As a result I have swapped out all the usual suspect parts, flame sensor, ignitor, even swapped the 3 amp fuse from one furnace to the other.
I can't stop the one furnace from starting (sigh) , the other furnace the ignitor still will not glow. When the faulty furnace is try to light (with no glow) it blinks error code 34, after 3 tries it blinks error code 14. I’m at a loss what do I try now.

Open the blower door and read the blink code. Then post what the blink code says it is supposed to be. Changing parts out is not always a solution and in some cases can compound the problem.

I've had my carrier a/c heat unit for about 10 years.. . Good service, but it has recently been making a sqeaking/chirping/screeching sound when the fan is running in a/c mode. I reminds me of the sound a car makes when the fan belt is slipping. Any suggestions? Thanks, lankford3
