Ex has not called, came to see his son in 5 mnths,is it wrong to ask sign rights over
My son even quit breathing, almost died, all he said was let me know.He brought the girl he cheated on me with to the hospital the day I delivered our son, and missed his birth due to having to wait on her to pack. Am I wrong for asking him to just sign his rights over?

I think that you have every right to get him to terminate his rights and if he refuses take him to court or take out child support. I did that and It was the best thing that I ever did.

I can understand your ire, but trying to get his rights terminated is a waste of time. I've moved this thread to the Family Law forum where there are hundreds of threads on this issue. I suggest you browse through them.

What you should be doing is getting him to pay support.

Sign over his rights to whom? If you are not married and your husband is wanting to adopt, the court will very likely not let him sign his rights over.

He cannot just sign them over to you. It doesn't seem like he is using them anyway, so really, what difference does it make?
