    Very loud squeaking noise in tumble dryer
    Hi
    My tumble dryer now makes a very very loud squeaking noise. Please can someone help it's driving me mad.

    There are many causes for squeaks. Typical dryers have wheels that the drum rolls on. To me, it sounds like one of these wheels is frozen and the dryer is sliding over the rubber, causing a squeak. Either that or the wheel bearing is squealing. In either case, you need to pin down the cause and replace the failing part.

    Could also be the belt. My dryer does this now and then and suddenly stops squeeking and I did nothing to help it.
