    Ancestral Visa
    I am from SA... But my grand mother and great grand father is German. Am I illegible for a German visa?

    Maybe or maybe not... depends on many facts which are not disclosed in your question, most of all, Germany does not recognize dual citizenship.

    Can you explain the German ancestral to me... I have tried to see if they have information on their website but could not find anything.

    What do I have to have to be illegable?

    Here's what you have to find out...

    If your dad (or mom) has German citizenship...
    If your parents has reported your birth to German consulate near you..

    If the answers to both are Yes, then you are eligible..
