    Non refundable fees
    When moving into our house, signing the lease and paying the nec. We were told to pay a 200.00 non refudable carpet cleaning fee (upon moving in)in additionthe sec and1st month rent... is this legal in California

    I don't see this being illegal. It would mean that they can't charge carpet cleaning against your security.
