    2-stage heat 1 stage cool
    What is meant by the term "2-stage heat 1 stage cool"? I am trying to select a programmable thermostat for my Carrier 38EYG048300 Comfort heat pump.

    Heat
    First stage heat pump
    Second stage electric heat or gas/iol
    Cooling
    Just one outside unit is one stage unless it has two compressors which you probablt do not have.
