Central heat will not cut off
Hi, I just had a new thermostat put in a week and 1/2 ago and it was working OK. Well, over the last few days, it will not shut off. If I turn it on and set the temp at 70 it will continue to run until its 99 degrees in the house. I also noticed the emergency heat notifications was coming on too. Please help me with this problem. I have to leave the heat off during the day because I'm scared it will be 500 degrees when I get home and my electric bill will be 1000 dollars.

Call back the company that put the new thermostat in since that is probably the problem. It is a possibility that one or more of the wires to the thermostat is shorting causing the problem.
