I'm a residential house appraiser. I recently did an appraisal for a lender.(who sent me the order form) After completing the appraisal I was informed that no one wanted to take responsibility and pay me for my service. This was a purchase transaction. I did the appraisal for the buyer.

I want to know can I place a lien on the subject property that I appraised, even the buyers do not own it?

If you did it for the buyer, you can not put a lien on a home they don't own. You can sue them for the money and get a judgement, and go from there
