Hello People, This may sound far fetched, but I believe it's worth a try. My 5hp. Briggs carb has been soaked, cleaned, rebuilt, and is still not up to par. The main jet is clean, but behind that I just don't know. So, I am thinking of shooting some liquid wrench in there, and letting it soak for awhile. I know it Desolves Rust, and I believe it will desolve gum, and varnish. Would anyone like to Comment on this... I would appreciate some input on this.

LIquid wrench won't work on varnish. But... we (small engine shop) use Bleach White, (the tire cleaner) on the dis-assembled parts of a carburetor. It does dissolve the varnish. After the carburetor is completely dissasembled, we would use a fine wire to clean every little orfice after spraying it with Bleach White and letting it soak for a while. Keep it away from gaskets and rubber parts and wear protective gloves. The cleaner is caustic. Keep away from eyes. As the name implies, it will lighten your skin on contact, so use with caution... but it does work.
