    Want to buy property next door.
    There is some land that butts up to my land, how do I find out who owns it? Thank you

    Local taxing office or the County tax assessor.

    You can go to the county recorder of deed and see who owns it.
    After that you can go to the property tax department and see who is paying the tax on it
