Oilf furnace blowing cold arir-didn't run out of oil
Please help me before I slit my throat. I came home from work this morning to find my house 62 degrees. I had just purchased oil 5 days earlier and all was running fine. I thought that maybe I needed to bleed the line anyway. Someone showed me how years ago. First I checked my oil level to make sure no one had syphoned it out. I crawled under my house (which is spider web infested, dirty, smelly, and dark) to bleed the line and reset it. Did that and NOTHING. All together I crawled under my house SEVEN times and NOTHING has helped. I'm cold, mad, crying, and borderline suicidal. Today is Saturday and the oil companies are closed until Monday. When I opened the valve to bleed the line only drips come out. Nothing happens when I push the reset button. Checked fuses in the house and they're fine. I'm out of options AND I'm about to loose my mind. 2009 has failed me so far. Started with no power for two days because of downed power lines and now this. PLEEEASSE HELP ME NOW!!

If you pushed the reset and the unit did not fire up the following items could be the problem.

Thermostat not set to heat (try turning the thermostat blower switch to ON and NOT auto, If the blower comes on then you know at least you have power to the furnace)

A defective primary control (that is the item with the push button) could be defective.

Post back with the results of the blower test.
