Hi All

Do hope this is the right place for this topic :eek: My grand daughter got a camcorder for Christmas and has taken numerous videos of friends and family, however yesterday the small LCD screen attached to the camera suddenly turned orange and also has a white stripe down the side as well. Now when she uses it she cannot use the screen to view while taking videos, it does however still show up when connected to computer or TV, has any one else come across this and is it fixable.

She cannot return it to the store as her mother foolishly thre away the receipt and they will not exchange or refund without it.

Try putting in a fresh battery and see if that solves the problem. If it was working fine before she may have just run the battery down. It does not take much to do either with those cameras. I used to have one and every other jerk I had to replace the battery. Try one of the new lithium batteries and it should last a bit longer.
